| My closet, currently filled to the brim. |
I have clothes that I don't wear and it's ridiculous that I keep buying things when I don't even wear everything I own. I am going to try and break out of this problem by pulling those items and wearing them. Why do I need another sweater when I have 3 that I never wear?
Goals:
1. Wear clothes that I never wear and have just been sitting in my closet. These clothes in particular i need to wear. Shop my own closet.
2. Stop wasting time and concentrate on homework.
3. Realize how much I think about shopping and learn to stop.
4. Find a non shopping challenge buddy for support......whose in?
So...whose in? I know this isn't for everyone but I would love for those of us who are going to try to be able to emailing and give support!

I am THE exact same way! I buy things and don't wear them. I've been thinking about doing the no-shopping thing, too. I like where you're going with February lol
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear how it goes!

I have to be honest and say I know I would fail at this challenge, however, I'm here to support you 100%. Plus, I spy a super cute pink bow sweater that I don't think I've seen on you yet. It better be in a future outfit post!

I feel you, I hear you!
ReplyDeleteI went SO far off my budget these last few months, a February cleanse might be a good idea. And I really have so much in my closet that needs some loving.
Hey Alissa, I'm 5 months into a whole year of no shopping. I won't say it's necessarily made me think about clothes less, but it's really made me appreciate how much stuff I have (I haven't worn the same outfit twice in all that time). I think it's also going to make me smarter about what I do buy. I now have a *much* better sense of what I need (stuff to wear on the weekends) and what I have in excess (dresses... but I love them!). Good luck with your challenge!
ReplyDeleteI did try this in November, sadly I failed but hey maybe Feb I will follow you!!

i totally understand! I tried to do this throughout January and I'm going to keep the mentality (with a couple splurges) for February. No more impulse buying... I'm going to think my purchases through.

I think if you leave your clothes hanging out like you did on those pics, that might be a nice reminder that you've got enough - good luck with your challenge!
ReplyDeleteSUCH a smart idea. I might get on board and not shop in February too.
ReplyDeleteI've been in a state of trying to distinguish needs from wants. And let's face it, I do NOT need anymore clothes.
It's amazing when we realize how truly blessed we are. Taking on a challenge like this truly lets us see that.
Good Luck!
