Every fall I have this outfit that I wear in real life, everyone loves it, and then I photograph it and it’s like a whole different outfit. If I could type that sound that you make when you blow raspberries when you are two years old, I would do that. Basically, I am just not feeling it and am just blowing a gigantic raspberry to this whole outfit. Because I was KILLIN in it real life and then bleck when I photographed it.
I feel like perhaps this was the same skirt that gave me that feeling last fall. Maybe. Also it didn’t help that the day I wore this I woke up 10 minutes before I had to leave for school and hadn’t showered in two days. (Honesty is sometimes embarrassing.) I threw it all together and prayed the hair gods shinned down upon me with kindness as I ran across campus with wet hair. The hair gods were not shinning down upon me because it was 75% humidity and windy.

So yeah. Basically the moral of the story is that I was really feeling this outfit and then on camera I’m not. I guess this didn’t need an entire posts decided to telling you exactly how much I wasn’t feeling it.

I love your honesty 🙂 But in all honesty…you really do look fabulous. It's a chic look and I don't see anything wrong with it. I'm going to assume that even though it looks perfect here, it must look even better in person.
I get what ya mean though…sometimes outfits just do not mix well with the camera. Don't know what it is!

Hi Alissa! I totally get it- I've worn things that I've thought initially looked awesome and looking back went "What was I thinking??" That's part of the fun of it, I think, getting to review yourself with the visual log. Additionally some things just photograph better. I will add this sweater looks supa cozy and the skirt is tres classy, maybe just shake them up with a different pairing!
