I’m in complete denial it is September. I want the long days filled with glorious light. I want to late nights with friends, I want the energy I have at 8 pm to go out for drinks and dinner. (You know you are a real adult when you can’t get a group together until 8 pm because of schedules.) What I am not in denial about is how great it is to not be sweating during photos, the sun doesn’t burn my skin within five minutes of exposure, I don’t have to worry about my thighs in shorts, I don’t have to run into the air conditioning with my arms flailing trying to stop all sweating so it doesn’t run any mascara or lipstick. However, with all of this there is just one thing that really is annoying me already and making me want to go into denial about summer being over…. (see below for rant)

I’m already annoyed at the mass hysteria over pumpkin spice lattes. Or anything with pumpkins. Listnen up, we have about three more months of pumpkin weather so do we really have to force the Pinterest recipes AT THE END OF AUGUST AND BEGINNING OF SEPTEMBER? Can we like, get a second of peace? CAN THE PUMPKINS JUST BE??? JUST LET THE PUMPKINS BE PUMPKINS AND CALM DOWN. *rant over drops mic*

Everyone always wants to rush into fall. They are crazy, because it's still summer. It's still hot, and I am still getting iced lattes, cranking up the AC and wearing shorts. We need to be thankful it's not dark at 4pm and the world isn't covered in ice. Because it will be soon, and I'm not in any sort of rush to get there.

I have a fundamental problem with the pumpkin spice latte being available in August. Now, I like fall and I get all excited for fall things, but PEOPLE AUGUST IS STILL SUMMER. I can handle the pumpkin and fall onset in mid September, but not until then. I try to enjoy things as they come, not rush them. I also don't enjoy the Christmas decorations in July or Halloween costumes in May.
