6 things

Dress: Gift
Shoes: Steve Madden
Clutch: Antonio Melani

I was tagged by Sandy over at her blog to answer six questions. Considering that I haven’t had time to really put together outfits due to our move from hell, this was perfect timing.

1. Who or what inspires you?
My brother has Down Syndrome and is the most inspiring person I have ever met. He never fails to have a smile, laugh or hug for anyone. He treats everyone with kindess, regardless if they are rude and stare at him because he is slightly different. No matter if he is having a good or bad day he finds a way to make a friend everywhere he goes. People always know him by his cowboy hat and boots he insists upon wearing, even in the hot summer. He doesn’t let anyone treat him differently, he wants a job, to go to college and plans on being a cowboy when he grows up. He has absolutely no inhibitions.

Most people don’t have someone who, on a daily basis, lives their life without any inhibitions  I cannot tell you what a valuable lesson it has been to have him as my brother. He is my best friend and the absolutely most amazing person in my life. I wish you all could meet him and experience some of the joy he has given me.

2. Tell Us Something About You That We Don’t Know.
I am terrified, absolutely terrified of clowns. I cannot handle them. I know this is horrible but I feel like clowns are mostly pedophiles and murderers. Movies about such things do not help my fears. I also have issues with mascots. I only recently hugged my school’s mascot, after 3 years of hiding when it was around the games.

3. Favorite TV Show?
I am currently obsessed with the BBC show Sherlock Holmes. A) I have always been obsessed with the books and these are SO like the books that I feel like I could be reading along in the 21st century setting. B) Benedict Cumberbatch. I mean, what a great name, but also……well, it’s elementary to figure out the rest.
4. What’s One Of My Silly Quirks?
HAH! Just one? I had about 10 minutes of thinking about all of the weird things I do. I suppose one of the silliest is that I cannot sleep with my closet door open. I don’t know why this affects my sleeping but it does. I have woken up one too many times to realize I wasn’t sleeping well because my closet door was open.

5. A Recent Funny Story.
It’s more sad than funny. In Kansas City there is a great shopping plaza I wanted to go to. Apparently only one side is accessible by the opposite street I was on. I could not figure this out and ended up driving around the parking garage (all 5 levels) 4 times, made 3 u-turns and finally called a friend crying because I was so frustrated. I was yelling at Siri the entire time. Turns out all I needed to do was take a right at the intersection I was making a U-turn out. I spent approximately 30 minutes trying to make it from one side to the other. I spent 10 minutes in the store I was going to.

Womp. Womp.

6. The Coolest Dream I Hope to Achieve.
Honestly I just want to make enough money to  buy a house, hire a maid and hire someone to grocery shop for me. I could manage to clean the house if I had to but really I am just working so I can hire someone to get groceries for me. I don’t know why I hate grocery shopping but I do. Especially on the weekends.

At this point in my life college has destroyed half of my dreams so I’m aiming pretty low right now. I hope I come up with something better when I graduate!
