A Shoe Incentive

While we were in Vegas the weather was what I call heaven on earth. Middle 60’s with lots of sunshine. Absolutely perfect. It was such a welcome change from the dreary, humid and bitter cold days that Kansas has been having lately. In case you haven’t gotten the theme from the trip, it was pretty much perfect.

I wore this outfit to fly out there in and was originally going to change into another one. I wasn’t crazy about how it looked but it was comfortable and compared to what other people were wearing I felt like I could get away with it. I decided to hit the ground running with Andrew and I wore this from 7 am to 1 am. I am so thankful that I decided to wear my comfortable ankle booties although they are basically black from dirt and scuffs from our late night walk to buy Andrew a swimsuit because he forgot one. (Which, as you remember, swimming is how Andrew’s phone was ruined.) We walked a mile on the strip and realized that a) the strip has some realllllyyyy creepy stores late at night and b) if I am annoyed slightly Andrew should buy me shoes to make he happy again. He figured this one out on his own.

The shoes were a nice little incentive for me to not be cranky from all of the walking we did. Looking back at it now I realize they were some great memories of the random conversations we had while getting the suit. At the time though I was exhausted and running on fumes. A pair of BP shoes along with a pair of Nine West wedges from Andrew did the trick for making me happy. That and a diet coke. But mostly the shoes.

So I came home from Vegas with some money from blackjack and most importantly, new shoes! And probably up a pound or two due to the delicious food we ate. But let’s not think about that right now.
