One of my favorite things about this time of year is the varying tree leaves color. I think the colors are one of the most gorgeous backdrops for photos. Every fall though I think of my childhood when my mom would always get so emotional and tell my siblings and I to “Look at the leaves!” She did it in this soft but so emotional voice that all of us felt horribly guilt if we didn’t look at the leaves in wonderment. Mom, I love you, but I didn’t appreciate the colors until like 10 years of you making me look at leaves.
I remember driving to my grandparents house and riding on our country home on a dirt road and her being super excited the first time she saw a red leaf. I never really appreciated those trips to see my Grandparents and gorgeous bursts of color from the changing leaves until perhaps too late. I do know I was very lucky to have both grandparents living within 25 minutes of me.

P.S. Mom, I love you and I finally mentioned you and your love of fall. I hope you read this! If not, you are in trouble.
P.P.S. I know you comment on my pins because you know how much it irritates me. I love you. I’m sure I’ll see you on Pinterest later. Love you mommy!
