What kind of camera do you use?
I use a Nikon D300s and the lenses vary from a 35mm 1.4 to a Sigma 85mm 1.8 depending on the location we are shooting at.
Who helps take your photos?
My wonderful boyfriend has helped me with taking them but some are simply on a tripod with me running back and forth. My neighbors gets a big kick out of thinking I am insane when they see me running back and forth to try and get the photos I want.
Fashion
I'm a student in college, I can't afford to eat, much less pay for clothes, how can I afford clothes?
First, I understand, being broke in college is not a fun thing and it can be such a constant source of stress. Unless my clothes are given to me by my boyfriends mom, I am always, always checking thrift stores in Lawrence. The great thing about college towns is that there are often so many hidden thrift stores that are really affordable and often you can sell your clothes to them and make some money. It can take time and lots of patience but I have found some absolute steals from thrift stores and that is really the best bet for college fashion.
Stripes or Polka Dots?
um...........that's like asking whether I like Reese's Peanut Butter Cups or Twix better, you can't divide your love between two amazingly good things.
How much do you spend a month on clothes?
Crap. Well, since I have to be honest...I probably spent about $50-$60 a month on clothing. Mind you that most of this is spent at places like Plato's Closet, A.T.C. or Goodwill so I am getting a lot. My general rule is that with each paycheck I get I can only spend about $25 out of it on clothes.
Do you really wear those outfits?
Yep! Regardless of whether or not they are awesome I am wearing them.
Why are you always wearing solid bottoms or just jeans?
I have pretty good body image but I slightly have thunder thighs and so since it's a sensitive area for me I try to always have neutrals or dark colors on my legs and a bright top to bring the attention up there and to my face. Also let's be real, shopping for pants is depressing, not fun and overall it just leaves you mad. So in order to keep shopping happy I end up buying mostly tops.
HAIR
Is your hair naturally curly?
Every single curl on my head is natural and is an untamed mess. And I wouldn't trade it for anything. In the future I will be giving tutorials for how I style my hair and products I use. It's taken me about 21 years but I have finally found the perfect combination of product.
Who cuts your hair?
Erin Medina at Salon Blush in Lawrence, Kansas. I cannot recommend her enough for your curly locks!
Okay, I seriously stalked, like, your whole blog. In the most non-creepy way possible. We need to be virtual friends. Fo Realz. You need to tell me about this magical formula for curls that you speak of. My hair is a beast and it must be tamed. Soon. lol
