The Pineapple Print Tale

I’ve worn this pineapple shirt exactly two times. Once last year and once this year. The day after I wore it I was looking at it and just realized it wasn’t super me. Most of you know I have a thing about yellow and although I love me some pineapple, I just haven’t felt this top. I am a bigger fan of this way I’ve worn it but still, something just wasn’t quite right. Then I got an email the very next morning that kind of made everything make sense.

A really sweet reader emailed me and asked if I still had my Merona pineapple print shirt. My first thought was…wait, does she know I don’t think I look good in it and is going to confirm my suspicions?

I replied yes, wondering where exactly this was going and if I somehow had landed into a pineapple fetish site or something. Side note: I don’t know if there is such a thing but there probably is and I really want to keep being able to just see pineapple in the purest way possible so don’t let think otherwise, okay?

However, quite the contrary happened. She had been looking for this exact shirt for a while and couldn’t find it. She found the post where I wore this before and emailed me asking for it. It turns out she needed it for an upcoming trip and wanted to buy it from me.

A couple emails later, I sold the shirt, she sent the money and a day later I had mailed a shirt. I could be overly romanticizing this but I think that stories like this are what makes the internet a cool place. You can just Google your mind out looking for a pineapple shirt, email a person to see if they still have it, send over some PayPal money and then your shirt is in the mail and headed from Kansas to Oregon. THE INTERNET IT SO COOOOLLL GUYS!
