The Work Dress I Will Never Give Up

Five days a week I am in business attire. I think that has reflected in my persona life as there’s frequently no difference in what I am wearing after hours to social events and what I wear to work. Honestly part of it is because I just don’t have time to change but a bigger part is that I’ve finally found items that work well from work to date night and other activities.

This J. Crew crepe 365 wrap dress is one of the only items in my closet that I own multiple colors in. I splurged on my first one, this cobalt color, and I immediately put it on my radar to wait for a sale to get another one. This red one came and I swear it made me a red believer. There’s something about this PARTICULAR red that is a universally flattering and like the perfect red for anyone. I can’t find the perfect red lipstick but I’ve managed to find the perfect red dress.

The cobalt is just as good. For work events I often like to play off the ADT blue and work that into my wardrobe and this is definitely not a subtle ADT reference. It’s loud and so fun! The fabric is just heavy enough to provide a little warmth for a fall day and layering with my favorite tights is my go-to for surviving the winter.

One of the things I love about the 365 crepe dress is their sizing. I own them in a 12 and 10 and they both fit. I get really frustrated when I own work dresses that don’t allow for any wiggle room. Either of these sizes work for me and I can control how tight and low I want them to be. Like I mean it, this works for an interview, first day on the job, ANYTHING related to work.
